my fave: silver white winters that melt into springs

Now that’s more like it.  What’s with Fräulein Maria liking so many winterish things? 

Here is Canada, we usually get a sneak peek of spring in mid-March.  This year, there was a week of sunny days over 20 degrees celcius (that’s over 68F for my lovely Yankees down south).  

                                

Sure, we’ll get more snow (…ahem, I’m looking at you 3rd week of April, what was up with that?), but, late-March is when the ice starts melting and the streams start flowing.

I love the smell of spring. 

           

Especially in May when the lilacs and magnolias bloom.
